Kufri is a beautiful hill station located near Shimla. Kufri is popular for its trekking trails and hiking. It is one of the most popular destinations for adventure lovers in Himachal Pradesh. Many skiing enthusiasts tour Kufri in winter, when the hill resort dons the white sheet of snow.
Location
Kufri is located about 19 kilometres from Shimla, the capital of Himachal Pradesh. The hill resort is located in the southern part of the state at an altitude of 2,510 metres above sea level.
History
The region around Shimla including Kufri was once part of the Kingdom of Nepal. The region came into light only when the British discovered Shimla and the surrounding areas in 1819. Shimla was the summer retreat of the British during the Raj era.

How to reach
As Kufri does not have an airport and railway station, the hill station can be reached through Shimla, which is about 19 kilometres away.
